In depth exploration - Patagonia Chile - with explora lodges.

As I stepped out of the plane onto the tarmac, the fresh Patagonian air filled my lungs, and I felt invigorated. I was on a mission to explore the new lodges in Parque Nacional Patagonia in Chile and explora El Chalten in Argentina, and I couldn't wait to get started.

The first stop on my journey was the explora lodge in Parque Nacional Patagonia. Located on the border of Chile and Argentina, this lodge was built to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings.

From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the stunning views of the mountains and the pristine wilderness that surrounded us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities I needed to feel at home. The lodge's design incorporated sustainable features like solar panels and water recycling, making it a perfect choice for eco-conscious travelers.

Each day at the lodge brought new adventures. I took guided hikes through the park's stunning landscapes, stopping to admire the crystal-clear lakes, dramatic mountains, and abundant wildlife. On one of my hikes, I even saw a puma! The guides were knowledgeable and passionate about the park's natural wonders, and I learned so much about the flora and fauna of the region.

After a day of exploring, I looked forward to returning to the lodge for a relaxing evening. The lodge's restaurant served delicious, locally-sourced food, and the bar was well-stocked with wines from Chile and Argentina. I enjoyed soaking in the outdoor hot tubs, which offered stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Next, I traveled to the explora El Chalten lodge in Argentina. Located at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy, this lodge offered breathtaking views of the iconic peak. The lodge's design was inspired by the local estancias, or ranches, and the decor incorporated traditional elements like wool rugs and cowhide chairs. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with fireplaces to keep us warm on chilly Patagonian nights.

Once again, the lodge offered a range of activities to explore the stunning surroundings. I took guided hikes through the nearby Los Glaciares National Park, where I marveled at the towering glaciers and turquoise lakes. On another day, I went horseback riding with a local gaucho, learning about the history and traditions of the region.

At night, I enjoyed delicious meals at the lodge's restaurant, which featured locally-sourced ingredients and traditional Patagonian dishes like lamb and grilled trout. The bar offered a range of Argentine wines, and I enjoyed sipping a glass of Malbec by the fireplace.

Overall, my trip to the explora lodges in Patagonia was an unforgettable experience. The lodges offered a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, and the natural beauty of the region left me in awe. I highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a true Patagonian adventure.
